Magnetic Drive Pump

Magnetic drive centrifugal pumps—often called mag-drive pumps—represent a significant advancement in fluid handling technology. By eliminating the traditional mechanical seal, they provide a leak-free, hermetically sealed solution, making them the ideal choice for transporting hazardous, corrosive, or high-purity liquids.

How an Magnetic Drive Pump Works

Unlike standard centrifugal pumps which use a direct shaft connection that requires a mechanical seal, mag-drive pumps transfer power through a balanced magnetic field.

Key Components and Principle:

  1. Outer Drive Magnet: This ring of powerful magnets is connected directly to the motor shaft.

  2. Inner Driven Magnet: This matching ring of magnets is attached to the pump’s impeller and is sealed inside the fluid chamber.

  3. Containment Shell/Isolation Sleeve: A non-magnetic, fully sealed shell separates the outer magnet assembly from the inner magnet assembly and the pumped fluid

Why Choose Our Magnetic Drive Pumps?

We offer high-performance magnetic drive pumps engineered for absolute fluid containment and total operator safety. By utilizing a synchronous magnetic coupling, our pumps eliminate the need for mechanical seals, providing a leak-free solution that ensures zero emissions and maximum environmental protection.

Key Features

Magnetic drive pumps are the industry standard for processes where even a minor leak could be catastrophic. Their sealless design makes them ideal for:

  • Chemical Processing: Safe transfer of highly corrosive acids (Sulfuric, Nitric, Hydrochloric) and aggressive alkalis.

  • Toxic & Hazardous Fluids: Handling volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and lethal liquids that require 100% containment.

  • High-Purity Media: Circulating ultra-pure water and chemicals in semiconductor and pharmaceutical manufacturing without contamination.

  • Surface Treatment: Continuous circulation of etching, plating, and pickling solutions in metal finishing lines.

  • Petrochemical: Handling flammable solvents and hydrocarbons where mechanical seal failure poses a fire risk.
